The Gunners fought back from going down to an early goal from Jean-Phillipe Mateta to beat Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.

Gabriel Jesus after a goal drought scored a hat-trick in the second half before former Arsenal striker, Eddie Nketiah found the back of the net late on to end the encounter 3-2 in favour of the home side.

Liverpool on their part, had to hold on for a nervy 2-1 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.

Rashford sparks Man United’s exit rumour after admitting he’s ready for new challenge

At St James Park, Newcastle thrashed visiting Brentford 3-1 to book their spot in the last four.

Manchester United will take on Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday for the final place in the semi-final.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford was not among the Red Devils players that travelled to North London for the Carabao Cup quarter-final clash.

The 27-year-old England international this week, admitted he is “ready” to leave the Old Trafford for “a new experience”.

Manager Ruben Amorim dropped him from his 20-man squad for Sunday’s Manchester derby against Pep Guardiola’s City alongside team-mate Alejandro Garnacho.

However, Garnacho travelled with the rest of the squad on Wednesday and is set to be involved in the game, but the embattled Rashford is still conspicuously missing.
