Fani-Kayode reacts after Iran’s attack, says ‘Israel finally got war it wanted’

Fani-Kayode was commenting on the over 180 missiles Islamic Republic of Iran launched into Israel on Tuesday

Former Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to Iran’s ballistic missile attack on Israel.

Speaking via his verified X page, Fani-Kayode claimed that Israel has “finally got the war it wanted”

TheNiche had earlier reported that Iran launched at least 180 missiles into Israel on Tuesday.

While some of the missiles were intercepted by the Iron Dome, many others landed, including in densely populated areas.

After the attack, the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations said Tehran’s response has “been duly carried out” awith the barrage of missiles launched at Israel.

Taking to X, the mission wrote, “Iran’s legal, rational, and legitimate response to the terrorist acts of the Zionist regime—which involved targeting Iranian nationals and interests and infringing upon the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran—has been duly carried out”

In a reaction after holding a cabinet meeting, Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran made a big mistake  attacking his country, adding that it will pay for its action. 

Iran made a big mistake tonight – and it will pay for it,” he said.

Prior to Iran’s attack, Israel had landed a series of devastating attacks in recent weeks against the leadership of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

While reacting to the development via his verified social media handle, Fani-Kayode noted that Iran took Israel’s bate. 

He tweeted, “Israel has finally got the war it wanted.”

Iran’s attack on Israel is the latest in a series of escalating attacks in years of conflict between the two nations and its Arab allies that threatens to push the Middle East closer toward a regionwide war.
