Ronaldo, who once played for La Liga champions, Real Madrid, was Kylian Mbappe’s childhood hero

Al Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has applauded his former club, Real Madrid after the La Liga club signed French striker, Kylian Mbappe.
Real Madrid on Monday announced that Mbappe, who left Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent has signed a five-year deal with them.
The announcement is the culmination of Los Blancos’ long courtship of one of the most prolific forwards in world football.
Confirming the deal in a statement, the La Liga club wrote: “Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the player to be at Real Madrid for the next five seasons.”
Also speaking after the move, Mbappe took to social media saying signing for Real Madrid was “a dream come true”.
“So happy and proud to join the club of my dreams @realmadrid. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support,” the French international added.

Following the announcement, several players and pundits took to various social media platforms to congratulate the 25-year-old.
These included the likes of Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni and Vinicius Junior, who will be playing with Mbappe at Madrid next season.
However, joining in on the congratulatory messages, Ronaldo, wrote on Instagram: “Excited to see you light up the Bernabeu!”
After Ronaldo’s comment made the rounds on the Internet, it garnered over 300,000 likes in the space of a few hours with fans clearly enjoying the moment of respect between the two men.
Mbappe idolised Ronaldo when he was growing up with his bedroom walls covered in pictures of the Portuguese.
