Popular human rights activist and social critic, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to the federal government’s rebuttal to a report that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lifted visa ban on Nigerians, saying the Tinubu-led administration is “faking it until they make it”

Her statement comes on the heels of media reports indicating that the UAE had lifted the visa ban on Nigerians wishing to visit their country after a two year ban.

Refuting the news, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, who the report was attributed to, clarified that the ban is yet to be lifted.

Speaking via his X handle, he wrote: “UAE has not resumed visa issuance to Nigerians. The document in circulation is not authorized either by the Nigerian government or the UAE.”

However, reacting to the rebuttal, Yesufu took to her X handle on Wednesday claiming that the administration wished it happened.
