Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has jumped to the defense of late televangelist, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as TB Joshua, after a documentary released by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) allegedly exposed his dark secrets.

TheNiche had earlier reported that the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, a 12-storey building, situated in the Ikotun area of Lagos State, where he and his wife lived alongside many of his followers was accused of several atrocities, including rape.

In the now-viral documentary released on Monday, January 8, no fewer than twenty five eyewitnesses accused T.B Joshua of sexual assault, physical abuse, fabricated miracles and trauma.

However, reacting to the trending report on social media, Fani-Kayode via a post on his official X handle (formerly Twitter) on Monday night, countered the claims by BBC, saying the late prophet fought a good fight prior to his demise.

According to the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, T. B Joshua was a blessing to the Church, the Christian faith, humanity and Nigeria.

The former minister went on to describe the allegations being peddled against the Ondo State-born clergyman by the popular British media outfit as “dirty lies’.

Speaking via his social media page, Fani-Kayode tweeted: “So true! You touched many lives, fought a good fight, stood till the end and established a great and enduring legacy.

“No man or institution can destroy it with dirty lies: not even the BBC!

“Continue to rest in peace brother and thanks for being such a blessing to the Church, the Christian faith, humanity and our beloved nation Nigeria.

“We are and shall always be very proud of you”
