Mr Eazi insists marriage to Otedola’s daughter wasn’t a secret affair

Mr Eazi caused a buzz on social media recently after addressing Otedola as “Father in law” on  his birthday

Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi has said contrary to popular opinion, his marriage to Nollywood actress and Fashion blogger, Temi Otedola, was not a secret affair.

The singer turned businessman disclosed this in a recent interview with Naija FM, Lagos, where he said the video of his song ‘Legalise’ was the footage of their wedding in Venice.

TheNiche had earlier reported that Mr Eazi caused a buzz on social media after addressing billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Femi Otedola as “Father in law” while celebrating his birthday earlier in the month.

Sharing a picture of himself and Otedola via X (formerly Twitter), the ‘Skin Tight’ crooner tweeted: “I only wear white when I’m with the Father Inlaw! Happy Birthday, Sir @realFemiOtedola.”

Mr Eazi leaves Nigerians guessing after calling Otedola “Father Inlaw.”

After the post made the rounds on social media, it elicited mixed reactions from Nigerians.

However, responding to a question from one of the hosts of the show on why he decided to hold a secret wedding, Mr Eazi said: “Who told you it was a secret wedding? Go and watch the video of my song ‘Legalise’ you will get the answer to your question. We shot the video in Venice.

“If you watch the video you will see proofs there. Our outfits weren’t just costumes. Go and watch the video and you will see everything clearly. It’s just like what painters do, whenever you see their work you will see the message they’re trying to convey. That’s how it’s with us musicians too.”

Mr Eazi proposed to Temi in April 2022.
