A viral video captured the moment President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wobbled while on the dais preparing to give his inaugural speech.

Tinubu was sworn-in today, May 29 as the 16th President of Nigeria in a colourful ceremony witnessed by dignitaries, members of the Diplomatic Corps and friends of Nigeria.

Tinubu staggered and wobbled for about 10 seconds before regaining his composure with the aid of his Aide De Camp (ADC).

Before the awkward moment, cameras were already focused on Tinubu because of a mild drama at the podium when a young man breached protocol by climbing the dais in an attempt to reach him.

It was shortly after that moment that Tinubu’s legs appeared to falter and he staggered. He was at the time attempting to reach the stand to deliver his speech.

Recall that during the campaigns, Tinubu made several gaffes, raising concerns about his health.

He once called one of his challengers, Atiku Abubakar, a former Senate President.

Atiku was a former Vice President.

He used the words balablu and bulabla when he intended to say ballyhoo and hullabaloo to describe the town hall meetings that he declined to attend.

He also erroneously said that the Kaduna State Governor, now ex-Governor Nasir el-Rufai, turned a rotten situation into a bad one.
