Pundit and former Chelsea midfielder, Joe Cole, has advised Blues players who are unhappy at the west London club to seize the next 2 transfer windows to leave for another club.

The ex-England international argued that prior to the arrival of some of these players, they must have known that their playing time would be limited at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have spent close to £600m to sign new players in the last two transfer windows and Cole believes there will be a ‘big shift of players’ over the next two windows.

Enzo Fernandez, who was the Blues’ priority during the January transfer window, was eventually signed late on deadline day for a club-record £105million from Benfica.

The Argentine joins a list of additions to Graham Potter’s squad following the signing of Malo Gusto, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, Mykhailo Mudryk, Andrey Santos and Noni Madueke.

Despite the signings during the January window, Chelsea had purchased Wesley Fofana from Leicester City, Raheem Sterling from Chelsea, Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoly, Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona in the summer.

Speaking on Chelsea’s transfer business on BT Sport, Joe Cole wondered why some of the players at his former club are blowing tantrums over their inability to get playing time.

According to the Blues legend, the players on the bench knew before joining the club, that there will be a huge challenge to make the star-studded team.

He said: “The players [who are on the bench] have known before they came that there’d be huge challenges to make the team.

“And if they’re not happy, there will be the opportunity to leave.

“In the next two windows, there’ll be a big shift of players leaving as well.”
