Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has once again aimed a dig at the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, saying his frequent visits to the churches are not to worship God but enhance his political ambition.

According to Omokri, the former Anambra State governor has been going to places of worship for the sole purpose of securing the votes of members of the churches in the forthcoming elections.

Referencing the Bible on his Twitter page, the socio-political crusader faulted Obi’s visits to churches ‘for votes’, noting that Jesus Christ chased away those who desecrated the temple.

Omokri also wondered what Christ would have done to politicians such as Peter Obi who attends church not because they want to worship him but to chase votes.

He tweeted: “Peter Obi is not visiting churches for God, or Christ, or to win souls, or to grow spiritually. He goes to churches for votes.

“Christ made a whip and chased money changers from the Temple. What do you think He would do to politicians chasing votes in the Temple? #TableShaker.”

Meanwhile, Reno Omokri has claimed the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu is better than the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi.

In a tweet, Omokri noted that Tinubu has the capacity to listen to his subordinates and explained that the APC flag bearer has a better performance record than Obi.

He wrote: “Tinubu is not a bad leader. He is actually a better leader than most Nigerian politicians. He has the capacity to listen to subordinates.

“He also has a much better performance record than Obi. My point of departure is drugs. A drug lord belongs in jail, not Aso Rock”
