Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel were feared kidnapped after they failed to return home from a movie set at Ozalla Town in Enugu State

Veteran Nigerian thespian, Clemson Cornel better known as Agbogidi and his colleague, Cynthia Okereke have allegedly been kidnapped after leaving a movie location.
This was contained in a statement made available to TheNiche on Friday, July 29, by the Director of Communications of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Monalisa Chinda.
According to the Chinda, the AGN was briefed about the development by the families of the movie stars after the duo failed to return home from a film production location at Ozalla Town in Enugu State.

The statement went on to advise actors and actresses to, henceforth, ensure they avoid the outskirts while making movies and ensure they have adequate security cover on movie sets.
It also noted that the incident has increased fear amongst members of the AGN regarding the safety of actors filming across the country.
The statement reads, “The two members were suspected of having been kidnapped, which has increased fear amongst members about the safety of actors filming in the country.
“Because of this sad development, the National President of the Guild, Ejezie Emeka Rollas, has instructed all Actors to avoid going to the outskirt of cities to film except full security cover is provided to ensure their safety”.
The AGN president who said the news came as a shock to him, urged security agencies to speed up the rescue efforts to free Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel and ensure their safety.
