Elsie made the claim in a recent social media post but Netizens refuted her assertions, saying she kept the secrets to prevent her hubby from embarrassing her on TV

Netizens have disagreed with Basketmouth’s wife, Elsie Okpocha, after she claimed she keeps secrets about family and friends from her husband to protect them from being perceived in a negative light.
Elsie, who is an entrepreneur, made the assertion via a recent social media post while advising wives and girlfriends not to allow their partners to know their friends’ secrets.
She followed that up with an interview with PUNCH, where she further contended that she keeps secrets about her family and friends away from her husband because it might come back to haunt her.

She said, “I only tell my husband things about my friends that I want him to know. I have my faults too and I would not like my friends telling their husbands certain things about me.
“know how husbands and wives usually talk about most things but I don’t get carried away. I majorly tell my husband about the positive sides of my friends.
“That also includes my family members. I don’t portray my friends to my family in a negative way. I don’t say things that will make people look at my friends in a negative light. Imagine me saying bad things about a friend, and the next day, people see us hanging out together. That would make me look stupid. I am not that type of person.”
A lot of members of the online community who commented after she made the post on social media disputed her claims, as they accused her of being economical with the truth.
Although these internet users agreed she might be keeping such information, they contended she was doing so to prevent her husband, who is a comedian from making jokes about such sensitive matters on national TV.
