The chances of Nigeria qualifying for the 2023 African Nations Cup in Ivory Coast brightened on Monday as the Super Eagles mauled Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 at the qualifiers.
This is the first time in football history that Nigeria is facing São Tomé and Príncipe.
Prolific striker Victor Osihmen scored four goals and two assists to help Nigeria record the historic victory.
Osihmen scored three of the four goals in the second half while Terem Moffi scored two with Etebo, Dennis Emmanuel and Lokman Ademola also on the score sheets.

The Eagles have garnered six points from two games so far in the qualifiers with the next match scheduled against Guinea-Bissau.
