Wike support group condoles with former President Jonathan on the crash that claimed two of his aides.

The Project ReNew Nigeria, a group supporting the presidential aspiration of Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has expressed sympathies with former President Goodluck Jonathan over the ghastly accident that claimed the lives of two policemen in his convoy.
In a statement released to the press, the group expressed shock over the incident and condoled with the families of the victims.
It said: “We are saddened to learn of the crash involving the convoy of His Excellency, former President Goodluck Jonathan, which reportedly claimed the lives of two gallant policemen and left others injured.”
“While it is relieving to know that H.E. Goodluck Jonathan is unhurt, we share his apparent shock and grief over the loss of brave policemen who until the incident served their nation dutifully.”

The former President’s convoy was involved in a road crash at the vicinity of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, on Wednesday, killing two officers in a car conveying them from the airport.
Jonathan, had in a statement by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Ikechukwu Eze, described the incident as painful and heart-rending.
He said that the sudden death of the two security details had thrown him into deep mourning.
He noted with sadness that the deceased, Inspectors Ibrahim Abazi and Yakubu Toma, were fine officers who were dedicated to their duties and service to the nation.
He added that two other officers that sustained injuries in the accident were rushed to a hospital in Abuja where they were responding to treatment.
He added that the office of the former president had offered condolences to the families of the bereaved and the Police High Command.
The former President prayed God to grant the souls of the departed eternal rest and bless their families and the nation with the fortitude to bear the loss.
