Nigerian rapper and singer Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide, announced that he is nearly done making an album titled “Unruly,” which the rapper said may be the last album of his music career.

The rapper, who turns 33 next month, announced this via Twitter on Saturday. His tweet was greeted with dismay by many fans.

In his tweet, the rapper said that he cannot say with certainty what the release date of the new album would be. He said that he will take his time in creating the album so as to make it the “best ever.”

Olamide said that though “Unruly” may be his last studio album, he will occasionally release singles.

“Next Album = #Unruly 95% ready, Release date = I don’t know. Taking my time to make it the best ever… probably my last album.. dough I’ll drop singles once in a blue moon when I feel like it.. it’s been a mad ass run !! giving albums back to back,” the rapper-singer tweet read.

Olamide introduced himself to the Nigerian music industry in 2010 with the single “Eni Duro,” in which he rapped predominantly in Yoruba.

Since his debut studio album titled “Rapsodi,” released in 2011, the Bariga-born artiste has released nine studio albums. He also has a collaborative album, titled “2 Kings,” with the Igbo-style rapper Phyno. “Unruly,” when released, will be his tenth studio album.
