According to Ghana Web, the 68-year-old German. is one of the candidates being considered by the Ghana Football Association (GFA )as the next Ghana head coach,

The football association gave Milovan Rajevac the boot after the abysmal performance of the Black Stars, who were eliminated from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at the group stages.

Ghana will be looking up to Rohr, who managed the Eagles for five years to take them to the Qatar 2022 World Cup after crashing out of AFCON without winning a  match. for the first time in their history if appointed.

Rohr, who was sacked in December, after a poor run of results, guided Nigeria to the 2018 FIFA World Cup and a third-place finish at the 2019 AFCON finals.

If the GFA secures the services of Gernot Rohr, his first competitive match will be against his former team, the Super Eagles in the 2022 World Cup play-offs in March and it might present an opportunity to take back his pound of flesh.
