Head coach of the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau, Baciro Cande has said his team will try to capitalise on Super Eagles’ weak point when they meet later Today in Group D final match.

Cande believes all strong teams, Nigeria inclusive, have a weak side, and the only way a team like his can beat Nigeria is to capitalise on whatever weakness they can find.

The Super Eagles, who have the maximum 6 points from two games, topped group D after beating the Pharaohs of Egypt 1-0 and dispatching the Falcons of Sudan 3-1.

Baciro Cande’s men are third in the group ahead of Sudan, courtesy of their superior goal difference, as they both lost one game and drew the encounter between them.

Guinea-Bissau will therefore be looking to upset the three-time African champions, in a bid to clinch one of the four spots for the best third-place countries in the round of 16.

The Super Eagles who will, though, want to finish strongly are likely to rest their key players, having qualified for the knockout stages and topped their Group D and this may be to the advantage of Cande.

Ahead of their clash against Nigeria, Cande said: “Nigeria is one of the best teams in Africa. A very strong side. We will play our game and hope that Nigeria makes a mistake, some errors, and maybe luck will smile on us.

“We know that no matter how strong a team is, there is always a weak side and we hope to capitalize on that,”

The games between Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau and Egypt and Sudan will be played simultaneously at 8 pm (WAT).
