NDLEA arrests man who excretes pellets of cocaine in batches

NDLEA said the man swallowed 58 pellets of cocaine in Brazil, excretes 48 pellets in Ethiopia, and transport 10 to Nigeria

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on New Year eve arrested a 48-year-old Iloduba Augustine, a passenger of Ethiopian airline that arrived at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, from Sao Paulo, Brazil via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

NDLEA, after his arrest, placed him on observation during which he confessed to having swallowed 58 pellets of cocaine out of which he excreted 48 pellets that were delivered to a Kenyan while on transit in Addis Ababa for a fee of N1 million.

The 48-year-old Iloduba upon confession said he continued his journey to Nigeria with the remaining 10 pellets in his stomach.
He said he intended to sell the remaining 10 pellets in Lagos before his arrest.

The wraps of cocaine were later excreted at 10:40 am on New Year day, 1st January 2022.

TheNiche had also reported how NDLEA operatives arrested a 76-year-old grandfather, Osagie Robert in Edo state over illicit drug dealings.

The grandpa, called an old soldier, was arrested on Friday, January 7, 2022 in Egor, Oredo area of the state for dealing in Cannabis while Godwin was nabbed during a controlled delivery of a consignment shipped into Nigeria through a courier company.

Soon after the suspect signed for the consignment, undercover operatives planted in the courier firm arrested him at his apartment in Benin City on Tuesday, January 4.

The consignment, which emanated from Canada, contains Colorado brand of Cannabis concealed inside chocolates and cookies weighing 6.491kilograms, while the drug cookies and chocolates weighed 5.566kg and 0.383kg respectively.

Last month, NDLEA, operatives raided two clandestine drug stores in Lagos where a pregnant woman Eze Joy Chioma was arrested with 1,442 kilograms of imported skunk while four men including a 62-year-old Basset Emmanuel were arrested with 182,000 tablets of Tramadol.

The 27-year-old Chioma Eze was arrested on Friday, December 17 when operatives raided her store and home in Ojo area of Lagos while another suspect, Michael Oroke was nabbed with 29kg of the illicit drug in the same location.
