Cute Abiola thanks Nigerians after release

Skit comedian, Cute Abiola has expressed his appreciation to those who stood by him while he was in Naval custody

Skit comedian, Abdulgafar Ahmad, popularly known as Cute Abiola has expressed his gratitude to Nigerians after his release from Naval custody.

The 25-year-old comedian and naval personnel showed his appreciation to those who stood by him during his ordeal via his verified Instagram page. 

He was declared missing last month by his colleague Mr. Macaroni, but The Nigerian navy refuted the claims, saying he was with them and being investigated for breaking the Armed Forces Social Media service code.

However, after spending several weeks in detention, his lawyer, Fatai Adebanjo, announced that he has been released and allowed to reunite with his family on Monday.   

He said: ”Cute Abiola has been released, he has been given his keys to his cars and finally allowed to join his family.”

Naval spokesperson, Commodore Suleman Dahun also confirmed the development saying the comedian has finally been released but will continue to serve his punishment.  

Taking to his official Instagram page, Cute Abiola thanked those who look after him while at the naval custody.

He wrote; “You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it  ZEH! KALA! LEJU PA ! MA RERIN ! (THANK YOU ALL) WB for you.”
