Itan, a play written by Ayo Jayaisimi of the Thespian Family Theatre and Productions, is still getting massive publicity on BRT TV despite being staged over one month ago during the Easter weekend.
The jingle, which advertises the production, has been airing on all the screens on the Blue BRT much to the chagrin of some commuters who get a dose of it at least three times during a 30-minute ride. Perhaps Value Media, which provides content for the screens, is in dire need of videos or they just like the jingle so much they do not want to discard it yet.
Commuters are also daily inundated with the same content that has been aired on the screens since the inception of the bus service managed by Primero and launched by the Lagos State Government late last year. In fact, some people on the bus have been heard to say that if BRT TV cannot source fresh content, they should switch off the screens rather than promote the cacophony that has become the daily lot of people who take the service daily.
