Three years ago, a 14 year-old girl who claimed anonymity, said she was deceived into having sex with a 20-year old man who posed as 17-year-old. The man, according to the allegation, is a US based Nigerian comedian, Justin UG
The girl is now 17-year old teenager, and was only angry because she recently found out that her sexual partner lowered his age by three years. The allegation was amplified on the social media by a weird Twitter handle, @mamiwaterr.
Justin UG’s full name is Chukwudi Justin Ugonna, a Nigerian comedian based in the US. He recently celebrated his 23rd birthday, and that was when his accuser claimed that he allegedly took advantage of her while she was just 14 years old.
According to the teenager, the comedian lied to her that he was just 16 going to 17 when she was approached by Justin for an affair.
She said after much pressure from him, she caved in and they began dating,
She narrated how she met with the comedian at a house party where they had unorthodox sex.
The teenager said after many more meetings with the comedian, where they had more of such kind of sex, Justin blocked her on all social media platforms and refused to pick her calls when he moved back to the US.
She said she later got the news that the comedian just celebrated his 23rd birthday, meaning that he would have been 20 when he allegedly had sex with her.
Trending as ‘At 14’, her post has packed more than two million tweets on Twitter.
The social media users said that at that age, it was wrong for her to think about sex instead of education and other things associated with children her age.
Others said that it was not her age that matters but the fact that Justin UG hid his age from in order to take advantage of her naiveté.
The comedian responded and said that it was a consensual affair. He called the accusation ‘criminal’.
“Hello everyone, in light of recent accusations it is very important for me to assure you of who I am and what I have always stood for. I am not attempting to trivialize the stories of women and men who have suffered experiences of rape and statutory rape, but because this is a criminal accusation against me it is very important for me to clarify that these accusations are not true and I have never been involved in any situation concerning grooming or sexual relations with an underage girl…,” he said.
He asked @mamiwaterr to furnish him with details f his accuser, otherwise he would pursue defamation against her.
