Kingstone set to present title to Imo Governor

Chima Kingsley popularly known in the wrestling circle as ‘Kingstone’ is set to present his African Wrestling Council (AWC) championship belt to the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

 

Kingstone who defeated Usa Bing of Democratic Republic of Congo (DR of C) on March 19, 2014 to win the belt, said the presentation became necessary because of the governor’s love to sports development in the state.“ He (Okorocha) is a sport loving governor and we are appreciative of his support to sports development in Imo State, ‘said Kingstone.A reputable wrestler under the auspices of the Nigerian Wrestling Federation (NWF), Kingstone said the presentation will help him to do more for the state.“I’m happy to present my title to the governor. All I seek is his fatherly support as I intend to win more laurels for the state in my career. “I have won the African title and I’m set to defend it anywhere in Africa.

Lots of challenges have been coming my way on this title and I’m prepared to defend it, but I need the prayer and fatherly support of the number one citizen in Imo, well-meaning Imo state indigenes and other stakeholders so as to succeed” he said.

 

Kinstone has just been informed that he will be defending his title in Harare, Zimbabwe against Iron Show and he said, he is ever ready for the fight.“I’m set for the fight and all things being equal, I’m not going to disappoint Nigerians,’ he said.

 

Kingstone, a personal of the Nigerian Army who has been representing the sector since 2000 made his wrestling debut in Lagos in 1999. He started training under Jimmy Palm, the ‘African Dream’ before he decamped to Iron Bone’s stable where he is currently training.
This talented wrestler who has wrestled with those that matters in the Nigerian and other African nations that has semblance of wrestling in his weight category like Black Heritage,
