Nigerian youths have been advised to shun negative tendencies and channel their skills into productive use for the advancement of the nation.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the convener Democracy Network for Aketi, Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade (Rtd) made the call when members of the Executive Committee of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Akoko North West LG Branch paid a courtesy visit to him at Oyin Akoko.
He advised them to shun Electoral Violence to safeguard the nation’s democracy.
“You need to hold your heads above all temptations and focus on using your positions to further encourage your members and other youths in the society.
“You should shun hooliganism and cultism in order to attain your potentials in life,” he stressed.
While commending Governor Akeredolu for the good job he is doing in the State, Alade further said that the youths are an important part of the society and should exercise their voting rights in the right direction in the forthcoming Local Government and Gubernatorial elections.
Alade encouraged them to see the various positions being occupied as a call for service and opportunity to contribute their own quota to building the Nation.
Alhaji Tajudeen Kareem , APC party Chairman in the local government led the delegation.
