Contractors working on the Benin Airport have been called upon to adhere to specification and high standards in the rehabilitation of the runway.
Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Managing Director, Saleh Dunoma, made the call while inspecting the project to determine the standard and pace of work to ensure the project is completed on schedule.
He appealed to travellers and other users of the airport to bear with the inconvenience caused by the closure of the airport, stressing that safety is the major anchor of FAAN.
Dunoma, accompanied by his Director of Airport Operations, Henry Omeogu, commended the contractors, McZoll Resources, for the work done so far but advised them to speed so as to meet the completion deadline.
He also met with the airport’s staff and charged them to deliver on the FAAN’s mandate of safety, security, efficiency, and passenger comfort.
