Olusola Adenijo (aka Solar), one the All Progressives Congress (APC) thugs suspected to have been involved in the murder of Ayo Murphy Jeje and Mrs Juliana Adewumi (in Erijiyan Ekiti) in March 2013 has been remanded in prison custody.
Adenijo (35), who was arrested in Ado Ekiti on June 23, 2015 with one bareta pistol loaded with live ammunition, was arraigned before a magistrate court in Ado Ekiti on Friday.
In the charge number MAD/90EK/2015 made against the accused, he was alleged to have “committed the offence of conspiracy to murder and murder of Madam Julianah Adewumi, punishable under Sections 324 and 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap C16, Laws of Ekiti State 2012, within the Aramoko Magisterial District.”
Police Prosecutor, S.O. Osobu confirmed that a pistol with live ammunition was found on the suspect.
He disclosed that further investigation needed to be carried out and duplicate of the case file sent to the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned till July 29, 2015 while the accused was ordered to be remanded in prison custody.
