Breaking: Ondo Assembly serves impeachment notice to deputy governor

The Ondo State House of Assembly on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, served a notice of impeachment to the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi.

Fourteen of the 26 members of the Assembly signed the notice, while nine voted against the decision.

  The embattled deputy governor defected to the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), because of irreconcilable difference with the state governor, Akeredolu, whom is said to be recuperating from coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.
