A renowned journalist, Prince Debo Adesina, was one of the 42 career and non-career ambassadors President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday requested the Senate to screen and confirm for appointment.
The President’s letter of request was read on the floor at plenary by the Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
Among the nominees are Prince Debo Adesina (Oyo), former Minister of State for Defence, Ademola Seriki (Lagos) and Mr. Dare Sunday Awoniyi (Kogi).
Adesina, a veteran journalist, is the immediate past managing director of Guardian newspapers. He was at various times editor of the defunct African Guardian, Editor, The Guardian, Deputy Managing Director, The Guardian, among other positions he held in the media industry.
