No fewer than 7,000 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and support groups have held a mega party to herard the swearing-in of Chief David Lyon as governor of Bayelsa State.
According to the chairman of all the APC NGOs Forum, Comrade Faith James Mikioma, the NGOs volunteered and selflessly mobilized members to the grassroots to sensitise and campaigned against vote buying amidst threats and intimidation by outgoing Governor Seriake Dickson who was allegedly wanted to use money to induce voters to no avail. He said that the All APC NGOs Forum planned to organise a statewide sanitation to clean dirts and poverty , maladministration of the outing governor on February 12, 2020 before February 14, 2020 epochal inauguration of David Lyon and his deputy, Degi Eremenyo.
