The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Peter Obi, has said that only a revolution would save Nigeria and launch it into the league of developed countries.
Obi made the remark at the Baze University, Abuja, in his speech titled,
“The Role of Young Nigerians in the Development of Sub-Saharan Africa.”
He reminded young Nigerians that developed nations went through revolution, stressing that Nigeria needed such experience to drive its development.
His words: “I do not mean the old type of revolution understood in terms of guns and cudgels, but the type of revolution that saw digital camera displacing manual ones; electric cars threatening to displace fuel-driven cars; knowledge economy displacing baggage economy; industries displacing manual production, among others.”
The Anambra State former governor, who advised the youth to remain committed to positive ideals, reminded them that one of the problems of Nigeria was the celebration of impunity, whereby Nigerians clap and dance with those destroying the country because of their ability to part with stolen money.
