The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) paid a visit to Commonwealth of Zion Assembly also known as COZA on Sunday where it was said the leadership held a meeting with founder Biodun Fatoyinbo some weeks ago.
In a message, CAN said they have come to show solidarity to Fatoyinbo and COZA in ‘these trying’ times.
COZA and Fatoyibo have been on the spotlight after Busola Dakolo, wife of Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, accused Fatoyinbo of rape.
Busola had in an interview claimed Fatoyinbo raped her when she was a teenager.
Reverend Jonah Samson, CAN’s Chairperson of the Federal Capital Territory and Rev. Israel Akamji the Chairperson of the North Central Zone of CAN on Sunday said they have come to declare their support to the church and to the founder, Fatoyinbo.
The CAN officials admonished the congregations of COZA to pray for the church and the pastor in his difficult time that the Christian Association of Nigeria and people are strongly behind them.
Many Nigerians on social media suggested that CAN should also visit Busola and her husband, Timi Dakolo and stand with them since the Association is not only for pastors and churches but also to the Christians in Nigeria.
