How to protect your child from infection this season

The widespread infectious diseases have been a major cause for concern around the world.  

Infectious diseases are most common in a windy weather condition or wet session.

The airborne disease affects both children and adults.Airborne diseases are tiny pathogens like viruses, fungi, bacteria that are found in the air.

It is contracted when the air is infected and can be spread through coughing, sneezing, phlegm, and many others.Windy weather condition is critical with children, due to their immune system. 

They are mostly victims of airborne diseases. During the windy weather condition or rainy session, children are likely to be infected with catarrh, cold and cough.

Some of the common airborne diseases are; Influenza, Common cold, Varicella zoster, Mumps, Measles, Whooping cough(pertussis), while the uncommon airborne diseases are Meningitis, Diphtheria, and Anthrax.

Symptoms of airborne diseases include sore throat, chills, body and muscle aches and fatigue and many more are some of the symptoms of airborne diseases that parents should look out for in their children in this windy weather condition.

Prevention has always been better than cure. Some of the tips on how to prevent your child from contracting airborne diseases are to maintain good hygiene, don’t send your child outside when the weather is windy, wear your child a layer of cloths, and make sure your child’s body temperature is warm.
