The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, March 22, 2019, defeated the Pirates of Seychelles 3-0 at the final group match of AFCON 2019.
Striker Jude Ighalo opened scores for Nigeria via penalty in the first half of the match played at Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

The euphoria over the goal did not last long when the Pirates through Rody Madama equalized via a counter attack, which questioned the quality of the Super Eagles Keeper, Francis Uzorho.
The second half was more exiting, when Nigerian Henry Onyekwuru scored through Jamilu Collins’ cross, while they made it three through a powerful strike by Moses Simon, who replaced injured Ighalo in the 86th minute.
