The Acting Director General of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Mary Uduk, will deliver the keynote address at the Issuers and Investors Alternative Dispute Resolution Initiative (IIADRI) maidem symposium tagged: ENHANCING SHAREHOLDERS VALUE THROUGH STRONGER AND COORDINATED SHAREHOLDER ASSOCIATIONS: WHY AND HOW?
The maiden symposium scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Exhibition Centre, 10, Nurudeen Olowopopo Road, Alausa.CBD by 9am, is borne out of a near absence of a coordinating entity saddled with the responsibility of streamlining the roles and importance of all stakeholders towards achieving the best outcome from the Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and lack of in-depth understanding of the synergy required to achieve such a desirable outcome.
Hence the Theme: AGM OPTIMIZATION; THE ROLES OF THE COMPANY SECRETARIES, REGULATORS, REGISTRARS, SHAREHOLDERS ASSOCIATIONS AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS.
MS. Daisy Ekineh, a former Commissioner and one time acting DG of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), will be the guest speaker at the special capital market event which promises to titillate and educate investors and financial sector stakeholders of various hues on the way forward.
