Votting at polling unit 006 in Orowunmi Street was temporarily suspended for about one hour due to malfunctioning of the card reader.
However voting commenced as soon as the card reader was put in order but voters were worried about the possibility of casting their vote before the 2.00 pm deadline.
Votting in polling units 006, 007, 008, 009 and 010 were orderly and peaceful. Police officers were later sent to P.U. 008.
Voting ended in some polling units at about 2.00 pm but two polling units extended the time by 30 minutes due to challenges they encountered at the commencement of accreditation and voting.
Sorting and counting of ballot papers were done peacefully in all the booths where the two big contenders PDP and APC led above other parties.
In polling units 008, 009 and 010, PDP recorded higher figures than other parties in presidential, senatorial and House of Representative slots while APC recorded higher figures in Polling Units 006 and 007.
