Sani Bello kicks off re-election campaign, commissions projects

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has formally kicked off his re-election campaign.

  During the period, he will also inspect, commission completed projects and lay the foundation for new projects across the 25 local government areas.

  The Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Niger state 2019 Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Alhaji Yusuf Suleiman, disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the campaign office along western by-pass in Minna, the state capital.

   Yusuf said that the APC in Niger state expressed satisfaction at the warm reception received from the electorate in areas so far visited in Zone ‘A.’

   Describing the campaigns so far as ‘‘Campaigns without tears’’, Yusuf said that the exercise had been very unique devoid of bitterness and rancour free as they usually pay homage to royal fathers for their blessings and support in areas visited ahead of next month’s elections.

   The Campaign DG also said that some of the projects earmarked for foundation laying in Agaie included Teachers Training Institute (TTI), Agaie; inspection of Water project at Bida and the electrification in rural communities.

   Governor Bello will also commission the Whole School Approach projects executed by the present administration, intervention of road projects by RAMP in some communities and higher institutions.

  To avoid frictions with opposition political parties, Yusuf said that the campaign would be issue-based as the team would educate the electorate on the achievements of the Bello-led APC administration and the need to vote for continuity.    He reiterated the determination of the APC administration to the promotion and ensuring peace and peaceful coexistence among all Nigerlites in areas visited as it would not want to use the youths as thugs but believed in the empowerment and job creation for the future leaders.
