The event also appeared to have been organised or coordinated by Transformation Agenda of Nigeria (TAN), a group at the forefront of the campaign for President Goodluck Jonathan as its banners and posters dotted the vehicles used for the protests.

Vehicular movement was seriously affected along Ikorodun road, particularly between Anthony and Maryland where hundreds of protesters on foot literally block the road.

With different placards demanding that ‘Jega Must Go’, they also condemn some agencies of the Lagos State government.

“No more KAI (Kick Against Indiscipline) and LASTMA (Lagos State Traffic Management Authority) in Lagos” shouted some excited protesters.

It was gathered that officers of the LASTMA tactically withdrew from the routes of the protests to avoid confrontation with the protesters.
