The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Organization has warned Abia State youths on the dangers of being used by desperate politicians to cause trouble in the next general election.
The National Coordinator of the youth group under the aegis of Ikwuano Umuahia PDP Youth Forum, Emmanuel Dikeogu Nwoko, said that the PDP government in Abia State has done very well and deserves giving another chance to rule in 2019, warning that any Youth who allowed himself to be used to create confusion in the state would have himself to be blamed.
The national coordinator said that the youths in the state should have learnt their lesson from past experience, where politicians used and dumped them.
He said that the desperate politicians would only engage the youths during electioneering only to drop them soon after they emerge.
Nwoko maintained that as concerned citizens the group is to hold an awareness rally aimed at sensitizing youths in the state on the dangers associated and engaging on electoral violence.
“It is aimed at sensitizing the youths from being deceived by those who are based abroad who rarely visit home nor have any investment in the state that would benefit the youths.
The Ikwuano/ Umuahia PDP Youth group however lauded the State governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, for his achievements in spite of legal distraction that lasted for over two years while assuring that youths of the party would always give him support and maintain zero tolerance to electoral violence.
