Jang accused of destroying Lar’s legacies

Youths under the aegis of” Ground Of Plateau Youth forum For Leadership Development” has said Governor Jonah David Jang is destroying the legacies of our founding father and great emancipator, late Chief Solomon Daushep Lar .

Speaking to some session of Journalists in jos , chairman of the group, Comrade Dalyop Choji Davou encourages everyone to take security as a collective venture for the common good of the Plateau.Davou pointed out that the action of Jang is an indication of disrespect to what our progressive leaders have sacrificed for this nation to enjoy democracy.

 

 

“We cannot sit, and watch Plateau being plunged into a state of anarchy which could amount to widening suspicion and counter suspicion especially among ethnic nationalities in the state”.

He vowed that the youths have concluded plan to speak with one voice for the good of the state and generations yet unborn.

 

He said,” we sympathise with families of those who lost their loved ones and pray God will comfort them”.

 

Davou expressed their grievances over the manner the just concluded supposed governorship primary election of the PDP in the state.

 

 

He lamented that the action is been consider as making mockery of electoral process ,a rape of democracy and an abuse of the sensibility of the peaceful Plateau people.

 

 

According to him, thugs were handed over ballot papers and so aspirants walked out of the venue in protest,stressing the exercise was marred by irregularities which made a caricature of the PDP primaries in Plateau state.

 

 

Pointing that the emergence of Sen.Pwajok is a mockery of democracy capable of not just aborting democratic peace to which we all enjoy after years of electoral battles but deepening ethnic suspicion and hatred ,he explained.

 

 

“We want to categorically state that ,”we believe in power rotation which will provide equitable platform for every zone to not just have a feel destructive democracy”.
