Just about half of 99 directors who applied for 21 federal permanent secretary jobs in less than a year passed the examination conducted by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) based in the Presidency.

A circular from the OHCSF said 74 directors wrote the examination this year to fill 10 vacancies, 37 who scored 50 per cent and above passed; 37 who scored below 50 per cent failed.

The OHCSF had announced in another circular in June 2021 that 14 of the 25 directors who sat for the Information Communication Technology (ICT) proficiency test failed, and only the 11 who passed proceeded to the oral interview.

The new circular, signed by Olusola Idowu on behalf of the Examination Committee, explained that the 37 directors who passed the latest examination would write an ICT proficiency test on 24 February.

“The invited candidates are to note that the ICT proficiency test will take place on Thursday, February 24, 2022 by 8am at the Muhammadu Buhari Centre, National Intelligence Agency, Asokoro,” it said.
