2Baba introduces fiancée Natasha to his mother Rose who initially opposed their relationship

Rose Idibia, mother of singer 2Baba (born Innocent Idibia), may have backed down from her opposition to him marrying Natasha Osawaru as a new video on Sunday shows 2Baba formally introducing his lover to her at a family gathering.
The reconciliation comes a week after the singer introduced the Edo lawmaker to his townspeople in Benue, a sign their wedding is likely imminent a few months after his divorce from Annie Macaulay.
2Baba’s personal life recently turned rocky, involving a widely publicised breakup with his wife of many years, Annie, and an emotional plea from Rose urging Natasha to distance herself from the singer, accusing her of bewitching him.
Rose made headlines earlier this year when she tearfully appealed to Natasha in a video to “release” 2Baba from what she described as a troubling relationship.
“This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son,” she said.
Her posture sparked attention near and far as well as speculation the family might not accept Natasha as 2Baba’s wife. But the latest move suggests Rose may have changed her mind.
The video released on Sunday shows Natasha met with 2Baba’s family, including his mother, in a private gathering of key family members that seems to signify a new chapter in their relationship.
