2026 FIFA World Cup revenue hits $15 billion

FIFA are smiling all the way to the bank after it was reported that revenue from the 2026 World Cup exceeded expectations.
The Guardian of London reported that never before has a tournament generated more revenue than this summer’s World Cup, and it’s all expected to be announced by FIFA soon.
The figure is put at $15 billion, which will exceed expectations that existed before the championship.
FIFA had expected revenues of around $11 billion.
The Guardian’s sources, tickets and hospitality packages which were mainly sold on the secondary market were a big factor in the result.
FIFA take 15 percent from both the buyer and seller on sales, the British newspaper reported.
On Saturday evening, VIP and hospitality packages for tonight’s World Cup final between Spain and Argentina in New Jersey were still on sale
