Former social media aide to ex President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, says Busola Dakolo may not be saying the truth in her revelation that the general overseer of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo raped her when she was 16.
Busola is the wife of singer, Timi Dakolo who had raised a storm in May that Fatoyinbo was a serial rapist.
Dakolo, however, did not reveal the pastor’s victims. Only for his wife to reveal on June 28 that Fatoyinbo came into her parents home and forcefully had sex with her.
“Immediately I opened the door, he just pushed me. He didn’t say anything, he didn’t utter any words. He just pushed me to one of the chairs in my living room,” she said, while recounting the incident to her interviewer, Chude Jideonwo.
But Omokri said the details of the incident did not add up via his twitter page. He said Busola’s story has many loopholes which even the dumbest movie director will reject.
“Pastor @BiodunFatoyinbo is SLEEK. Too sleek for my liking. What type of sleek man will rape an underaged girl in HER PARENTS HOUSE while HER SIBLINGS are AT HOME. And then leave her to go get a drink from his car. Is this mass HYPNOSIS,” Omokri said.
He said he has a personal dislike for Fatoyinbo for undisclosed reason but that cannot make him join the band of people who have swallowed the story without question.
Omokri is not alone. He has another ally in Lere Olayinka, former media adviser to ex-governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose. “To me, it appears like a CONSENTED Rape… But wetin I know self???”
Adewale Aladejana, a member of COZA also faulted Busola’s claim.
“Dakolo and Busola are not saints. She was a choir member and Timi was a choir leader in church when she got pregnant with her first baby. Timi denied that they weren’t having an affair and then she got pregnant the second time and that was when the church forced them to get married.
“This chorister was sleeping with her choirmaster and was a baby mama with two kids before they got married,” he said.
But many Nigerians will not take that. They hailed Busola, a mother of three for her courage in telling her rape experience.
Actor, Akah Nnani, who is also a COZA member even threatened to quit the church if Pastor Fatoyinbo does not tell his own side of the story.
He posted on his instagram page that he is believer but, he would not support evil.
Fatoyinbo later spoke through a press statement, describing the allegation against him as a blackmail.
He said Busola and her family were members of his church in Ilorin in 1999 and that he never had any private interaction with her beyond his pastoral duties.
He said he would be pressing for charges of criminal defamation against Busola and Chude Jideonwo, the man who conducted the interview.
