- Two Royal Dutch Shell oil workers kidnapped in the Niger Delta region have been rescued, a police spokesperson told Reuters on Friday.
- “The tactical team of the command rescued the victims in the early hours of Tuesday,” said Nnamdi Omoni a spokesman for the police force in Rivers State. The pair were attacked last week while returning from an official trip to Bayelsa State.
