Zabo, the Cameroon women’s coach, said he will watch the quarter-final match against the Super Falcons again, to arrest the cause of their loss

Gabriel Zabo, the Cameroon women’s coach, has said despite losing 1-0 to the Super Falcons in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2022 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON), the Nigerians were not better than the Indomitable Lionesses.
According to him, his girls matched the Nigerians strength-for-strength but the Super Falcons’ unbeatable experience was the difference between the two African giants.
Meanwhile, Nigeria came top in all available match statistics outside effort on target, they were better in ball possession, passes, total shots, percentage of short accuracy and they committed fewer infractions.
Apart from this, Thursday’s encounter will be the ninth time the Super Falcons will be beating Cameroon in13 encounters.

Zabo, in his post-match interview, contended that the Nigerian girls were not better than his side and that they only edged the game due to their level of experience.
He also added that despite their exit from the competition, his girls are still in the hunt to qualify for the 2023 Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
Zabo said, “The game was won on fine details. They were not stronger than us, but they used the experience they have in the big competitions. And in this game, when it comes to utilizing their experience, they are unbeatable.
“It’s not all over, we still have a chance to qualify for the World Cup this Sunday. My players showed by their level of play tonight that they were happy to be globalists,”
He went on to say he and his technical crew will watch the quarter-final game against the Super Falcons again, to arrest the cause of their loss.
He added, “We have a few hours to watch the video of this match, see what was going on and what was wrong. I will give the girls some time to digest this elimination. But I assure you that we will get back on track very quickly.”

Cameroon after the loss will face another tricky encounter against debutants Botswana, and the winner of the tie will head to the intercontinental play-offs for the World Cup.
