Ayu’s sins of corruption are legion, he is not fit to chair a party seeking power, Wike insists

Intrepid Nyesom Wike took a new swing at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cabal on Friday, declaring in his Port Harcourt HQ he is winning the media war against them, especially Iyorchia Ayu, whose corruption he says is so gross his children will disown him if they know the depth.
“If people know what we know, if we release what we have, Ayu’s children will go to him and say we are no longer your children,” Wike announced in his ongoing live chat on national television where he speaks the minds of Southerners against Northern domination.
He had first insisted on Channels Television on Thursday that he will never accept Northern dominance of the PDP of which he is a founding member and would remain in the party to fight it out.
Then, on Friday, he doubled down on Ayu, saying the PDP National Chairman lacks integrity and also alleged the man received double pay for one project.
Wike was emphatic when asked about his allegation last month that Ayu collected N1 billion from a PDP presidential aspirant, to which Ayu has not responded.

Wike blames PDP crisis on Ayu
“What kind of system is that? I am telling you all these are facts. Let him [Ayu] say no first, and I will tell you [those he collected money from],” Wike said, per reporting by The PUNCH.
“A leader must be a man of integrity. And I have realised that people find it hard to have that [integrity] lately.
“You a presenting a man [Ayu] who lacks integrity as Chairman of the party. Somebody that wants to lead a campaign to take the reigns of government?
“What is the problem with what we are asking of Ayu? We are saying let there be equity, let there be fairness and justice.
“But if you don’t want it that way then you [Ayu] are the one causing the crisis [in the party] and that shows you don’t have leadership skills because this is the time to show it.
“This is the time to show leadership skills on the part of those who are leaders of the party.”
