Yobe SIEC Chairman, Mamman Mohammed, is dead

Mohammed is expected to be buried on Tuesday, October 14, at the Emir of Fika’s Palace in Potiskum town, Yobe.

Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) Chairman, Dr. Mamman Mohammed has passed away.

His demise was announced on Monday night via a post shared by Fika Emirate Council on its official Facebook page.

According to the post, Mohammed died on Wednesday at the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital, Damaturu after a brief illness.

It further noted that funeral prayer for the deceased SIEC Chairman is scheduled to hold today, Tuesday, October 14, at the Emir of Fika’s Palace in Potiskum town.

The post read, “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi Raji unn.

“The death has occurred of Dr. Mamman Mohammed, (Shamakin Fika), Chairman Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC).

“He died at Yobe State Teaching Hospital after an illness.

“May Almighty Allah grant him Aljannah, Amin.”
