Yobe State government has employed 500 health workers from Egypt and Nigeria.
The state Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, disclosed this during an inspection visit to the School of Health Services and Technology, Nguru.
According to him, the category of the staff employed included medical doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, radiologists, surgeons and others.
The governor also said that his administration would continue to prioritise the health sector for the benefit of the people of the state.
“Some of the doctors we employed were from Egypt “.
He directed the Secretary to the State Government and Commissioner of Works to map out plans for the construction of 1kilometre road within the school compound, connect the school to the national grid, provide stand-by generating set, furnish the school and consider the construction of five additional staff quarters.
Responding, Commissioner of Health, Dr. Muhammad Bello Kawuwa, thanked the government for the support.
