Yabagi Sani alleges Tinubu shielding corruption, warns him to act fast

Yabagi Sani, Action Democratic Party (ADP) National Chairman, says the mind-numbing scale of corruption and theft being discovered in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is nothing compared with the depth of rot and massive looting in the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), which Bola Tinubu is being allegedly used to cover up as both President and Petroleum Minister.
Sani, an energy and crude oil expert who once stood for election as a presidential candidate, lamented that no one seems to care despite the brazen nature of these criminal acts
He spoke on Channels Television urging Tinubu to act as fast as he can as Nigerians will not continue to fold their arms and watch.
“The running of the petroleum industry in Nigeria is as bad as it can be. The report you’re talking about reported that in six months we lost $1.5 billion,” Sani disclosed.
“That is a conservative figure that the Obaseki Committee set up by the NEC came up with … it’s more than that.
“My regret is that I don’t know how they got Mr President to become the shield for the NNPC rot.
“Do you know what you will get when you probe the NNPC? This is a joke ‘what you are getting from the CBN’.
“Somebody should tell Mr President, it is high time we beamed the searchlight on NNPC. We cannot be taken for a ride for so long.”
