Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), holds its 18th
annual conference with the theme, Shaping the Future: Strategizing to Win” in November 7, 2019.
The group’s Chairperson of the Executive Council, Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi, said that the conference would feature practical sessions designed to equip the women with winning strategies and the knowledge to take on new challenging roles, explore emerging business opportunities, as well as build and sustain a successful career in today’s fast-paced world.
She pointed out that relevant topics that speak to the time and existing situation would be discussed.
“Delegates will learn how to develop winning strategies to secure their seat at the table; discover how to collaborate to win; understand consumer behaviour; reach those who are not on the internet, overcome trauma and silence shame, rise above the imposter syndrome and much more through each of the six deep dives and seven plenary sessions. And wrapped up with an engaging debate session closely trailed by our signature after party,” she said.
Former Chief judge, Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice Rose Ukeje, OFR, will chair the conference, while the keynote address will be presented by Co -founder and Trustee African Leadership Academy, Fed Swaniker.
WIMBIZ is a non-profit organisation that has over the last 17 years, implemented programmes that inspire, empower and advocate for greater representation of women in leadership positions in the public and private sector.
