Wike, Udom, others make Atiku’s campaign team list, Jonathan missing

Wike was named along with most of his associates as a member, while Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel was made the DG of the campaign

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has named Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike as a member of Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential Campaign Council in a list released on Thursday, September 15.

The name of the Rivers State Governor who has had running battles with the party appeared as number 13 on the list along with most of his associates as a member.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel was made the Director General of the campaign which had Governors Bala Mohammed and Seyi Makinde of Bauchi and Oyo States as Vice Chairmen, North and South respectively.

PDP also designated Aminu Tambuwual, the Sokoto State Governor, as Director General of the National Campaign Management Committee.

The campaign body has four directorates headed by Sen. Liyel Imoke (Operations), Prof. Adewale Oladipo (Admin), Raymond Dokpesi (Technical and Systems) and Okwesileze Nwodo (Research and Strategy), who were all listed as Deputy Directors General.

The long list further consists of the names of former Vice President Namadi Sambo, former State Governors of the party, former Ministers, all former Senate Presidents of the party who are still members of the PDP, members of the Board of Trustees among otters.

Embattled former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu also made the list, while former National Chairmen of the party, Vincent Ogbulafor and Ahmadu Ali we’re named as members.

Also included in the list are some former Army Chiefs, Generals Ishaya Bamaiyi, Martin Luther Agwai and Keneth Minima.

Curiously, the name of former President, GoodLuck Jonathan was conspicuously missing on the list.
