Wike made the disclosure when the LP presidential candidate visited the state capital, Port Harcourt on Thursday, November 18, to commission the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover.

Obi who was in company of his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, as they inaugurated the 9th flyover by the River State governor, was received by a large gathering of his supporters known as ‘Obidients’.

The host while speaking at the event told Obi, “Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you,”

The Rivers State’s number one citizen and four other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors have been at loggerheads with their party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

They have since demanded the resignation of the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, as a precondition to support the party’s presidential candidate.

Several peace parleys to end the feud by the party’s stakeholders have so far ended in stalemate, as Wike and his allies have refused to join  Atiku’s campaign train.

It is, however, not clear whether they will support Obi or Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the contest for Aso Rock’s top job, but the latest gesture is seen as a boost for the LP flag bearer in the three-horse race election.

Wike ended his speech by describing the former Anambra State governor, as a candidate with the needed characteristics to lead Nigeria.
